What we Provide:
  • Expert guides with outdoor knowledge, bicycle repair skills, good bike handling abilities, first aid training, and most of all, excellent understanding of what service means. Let the guide know if you have any special needs. All of our guides want to show the best trails in the world. What are friends for?
  • Bike and exceptional Turner demo bikes for rent and we even have kids bikes for those family tours. Helmets are included with each rental.
  • Transportation from Uranium Bicycles to trailhead and back. We can also pick you up at your downtown lodging free of charge. For Sorrel River Ranch and Red Cliffs Adventure Lodge, we have special packages that begin and end at your doorstep.
  • Water and other drinks.
  • Food can be arranged for lunch on the full-day rides (additional cost).
What to Bring:
  • For those bringing their own mountain bike, make sure it is in good working condition ensuring an enjoyable day on the trail. Uranium Bicycles provides tune-ups a day or two in advance if needed and can also take care of all your shipping needs to and from Moab (additional cost).
  • Shorts or biking shorts, gloves recommended and riding shoes or sturdy soled shoes.
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellant.
  • Camera.
  • Very highly recommended is a hydration pack such as Camelback but water bottles will also work.
What to Expect:
  • Weather in Moab can be unpredictable. Prepare for possibly cool nights and hot days with thunderstorms. Chances are that it will be beautiful especially if you are prepared.
  • The ride doesn't have to be tense or too intense. Choose a ride that is your skill level. Trust us, you will have fun.
  • Most rides in and around Moab are 4000ft to 6000ft elevation, although for the very fit the rides in the La Sal Mountains provide even higher elevations. Even 4000ft can seem a little strenuous if you are used to sea level. To prepare for this, eat healthy foods and drink water and energy drinks (Gatorade) to keep well hydrated for at least a week or two before the riding in Moab.
  • Expect that the guide will be doing everything he or she can to make your trip enjoyable and adventurous. The guides' job and privilege is to lessen any apprehension you may (or may not!) feel.
  • At the end of an enjoyable trip, you may show your thanks to the guide with a tip. They are always grateful and appreciative and tips are a good way of showing when it was a job well done.
Payment
  • In order to secure your reservation you must pay the full amount in advance when you book your tour using a major credit card (please, no debit cards). Also, because of our high rate of sell out, you may want to call the shop and make your reservation over the phone. This is particularly important if you are making a reservation less than 7 days before you arrive in Moab.
72 Hour Cancellation Policy!
  • You must cancel your reservation at least 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled tour in order to receive a refund. If you fail to arrive for the tour and we are not contacted 72 hours in advance we cannot issue you a refund due to the high demand to reserve bikes and schedule guides ahead of time. Sorry, but there are no exceptions.
